Celebrate Freedom

Happy Independence Day everyone! I'm sure you have all had a fun filled day with family and friends!! Here in South Florida it has been HOT HOT HOT!! We had a little cook out and now we are getting ready to see fireworks in the neighborhood.  So, while it was blazing hot outside earlier this afternoon.  I found refuge inside with the nice cool a/c and thought let me play with my Cameo.  I mainly use my Cricut for my projects (I guess I'm just used to it) but I thought what the heck.  Here I am lucky to have both and I have only used it once before today, and I have had it since Valentine's Day!   Yes, I know...gasp!!! But, I'm so glad I decided to give it another go.  So here are all the deets of my card :0)

Items Used
Silhouette Store - Echo Park Butterfly
Solid Carstock - My Scraps
Patterned Paper - Echo Park 4th of July Collection Kit
Sentiment - Computer Generated
White Gel Pen
Buttons - My stash

Well, I hope you all have liked my very first post that includes the use of my Cameo.  I am hoping to master it a little better so that I can enjoy my new toy :0)

Have a wonderful Fourth of July friends!!

  2. Very pretty. So after you use your Cameo a few more time let me know which one you like better. I am not ready to change, but I have seen so many other crafters switch. Why do you think that is so?

  3. Very cute card Diana! The butterfly cuts are adorable:) Glad to see you using your cameo..I know I don't use mine much either but mostly because I have not sat down long enough to learn about it...shame on me! I have used it on and off but seem to go back to whats so comfortable-the expression. Oh well, I am hoping to mess with it some in the next few weeks. Stay cool, I heard it's crazy hot there too..thanks for stopping by my blog and hope you had a wonderful 4th!

  4. This is so absolutely adorable, Diana!! The butterflies are so cute and I love the papers you used!! What a fabulous card!! I love the projects I see with it, but I haven't made he leap to a Cameo...I got hooked on Spellbinders and have been building my stash of those!! I think my Expression might be jealous :)

It's crazy hot here, too. 102 right now and it's been that way for a few weeks, with no end in sight. Plus we haven't had rain so all the grass is dead :( I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July :)
