Challenge Me Monday #53

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to take a quick moment to say WELCOME to all my new followers!  I am so glad you could join me in this paper crafting journey!  I will be visiting many of you in the next few days and I can't wait to see all of your wonderful creations!  Well, It's Monday and time for another challenge over at http://www.fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ This week's challenge is to create any project/card that looks like spring.  Well, this cute little chick cut definitely looks like spring to me :0)  I think he is so cute!  This card actually happened by accident.  I was actually making this card for another challenge and I thought I had to use the "Simply Charmed" cartridge.  In fact, you had to use the "Smiley Cards" cart...ooops!   Since I realized my mistake after I had everything cut, I decided to use it for this challenge instead.  So it all worked out in the end.  My card is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and here are the specifics:

Carts Used: Simply Charmed (Chick & Sun) and Create a Critter (Grass, Flowers & Cloud)
Solid cardstock: Recollections
Patterned Paper: Colorbok (bought at Walmart)
Stamp: Peachy Keen "Funshine Face Assortment" Just got these and sooooo loving them!
Sentiment Stamp: Jo-Ann's Dollar Section
Colored chalks
White Gel Pen
Stickles:Stardust

As always thanks for stopping by!

I plan to visit you (my new followers) all by this weekend and make sure I check out all your blogs and follow you back as well! So happy to be "meeting" new people :0)

Sweet 16 Invitations

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share with all of you what I have been working on over the past few days.  I was busy making 20 invitations for a Sweet Sixteen.  The design was based on a sketch that the birthday girl had provided me with. While the design seems simple, it did take a long time to put all the layers together.  At one point, it seemed like the butterflies were multiplying...lol.  Anyway, she was really happy with the final product and I'm so glad that she was.  Wishing her a very Happy Birthday!  The images used were from Create a Critter and the font was from Birthday Bash.

I Love Moo!

Hi crafty friends,

This evenings post is for two challenges that I am participating in.  The first one is for the Scrappy Mom's Tuesday Challenge. Their website in case you don't know is http://www.scrappymoms-stamps.blogspot.com/.  Check out their awesome stamps while you're there, I have 2 of them already and hoping to get a few more real soon!  Their challenge was to use the Create A Critter Cart. I just love this cart, there are so many cute cuts and so many possibilities.  It's just an awesome cartridge.  The next challenge is over on Paula's Blog at http://www.morethanfavors.blogspot.com/.  Her Wacky Wednesday Challenge #27 was to use a farm theme project.  I decided to combine the two after I noticed a lot of other crafters entering different challenges but only making one project.  So, I thought I'd give this a try as well.  Glad I did, as I really like the way it turned out.
