Hello Crafty Friends,
Welcome back for Day 2 of The Celebrate Freedom Blog Hop!! I would like to thank Lisa for hosting such a fun hop and for allowing me be a part of it!! Thanks Lisa :0) There were so many wonderful projects on Day One, I am sure you were all inspired as much as I was with all the crafty goodness!! So get ready to be inspired some more as we do it all over again for Day Two! If you just happened to stumble onto my blog and would like to play along with us. Please do so by starting over at Lisa's Blog and join in on all the fun as we celebrate The Fourth of July. If you came here from Tahi's Blog then you are right on track!
So for Day Two I decided to do a Party Decor Project. At first I had planned on making this a wall hanging project. But after I got started, I thought this would look great on a buffet table or dessert table for a Fourth of July get together. So I went with that and I love the end result, hope you do too!! Here are all the details of my project.
Cartridges Used
Elegant Edges
Birthday Bash
Stand & Salute
Other Items Used
Solid Cardstock - Bazzill Basics (Evening Surf & Ruby Slippers) Recollections (White)
Patterned Paper - Creative Imaginations
Martha Stewart Glitter - Garnet
Stickles - Gold
Pigment Ink - Red (For the edges)
We R Memory Keepers - Fancy Floss
White Gel Pen
Pop Dots
In order to make a sturdy tabletop decoration, I knew I would have to use some type of chipboard. Cardstock alone was not going to work. So instead of buying some, I recycled and I used cereal boxes!! I cut the base twice and just glued them back to back, it's very sturdy now ;0)
Well I hope you have enjoyed my project for today and up next is the super talented Miranda!
But wait!! What's a blog hop without a little candy?! As promised, here is what you can win!!
One lucky winner will win the following:
1. Chipboard Album
2. DCWV "Summer Dream" Specialty Sticker Stack
3. DCWV "Summer Dream" Mat Stack Papers (24 Different Patterns - 2 Sheets of each)
4. Craft Essentials "Red, White & Blue" Embellishments
5. Martha Stewart - Solid Twine (Red)
Just be a follower of my blog and leave me a comment with a way to get a hold of you! Remember, this was a 2 day hop so if you left a comment each day. You have double the chance in winning! I will pick my winner on Sunday July 8th! :0) Good Luck Everyone!!

ReplyDeleteOh, I just LOVE this decoration for your Fourth of July table. The details are terrific, including the baker's twine, and I especially like the use of the lighter blue (rather than navy) for an unusual touch.
ReplyDeleteHope your holiday is festive!
