FCCB Cricut Crawl-Get Organzed

Good morning everyone!

Happy New Years Eve :0)  Today over at
Fantabulous Cricut we are having a "Get Organized" blog hop!! It's the perfect time to try and organize our hectic lives as we begin a brand new year!! I don't know about you all but I am constantly making to do lists. I try so hard to keep organized but sometimes I have a few lists going at once.  I always write my to do lists on post it notes and scraps of paper.  The problem...they end up everywhere and I can never find them when I need them!!   So, I decided to alter a little composition notebook for me to write my lists and general notes that I may need. This way they're all together in in one place, and easy to find when I need them!

I am so happy the way this little notebook turned out and it really wasn't all that time consuming either...which I love!!  Here are all the details of my altered project :0)

Cartridges Used
Smiley Cards
Simply Charmed

Other items used
Mini Compostion Notebook (purchased at Michael's for .50 cents!!)
Patterned Paper (The Paper Studio-All Seasons II)
Solid Cardstock - My Scraps
Double Sided Adhesive Tape (Recollections-Permanent 1/2 inch)

Hope you all liked my project and now onto a yummy cookie recipe that was given to me by a co-worker of mine a few years back.  I just love CHOCOLATE!! And if it has pecans, even better!!

Chocolate Chunk Pecan Cookies

Chocolate Chunk Pecan Cookies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
Place butter in a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave until melted, about 1 minute.
Add both sugars to melted butter and stir until combined. Add salt, vanilla, and eggs, stirring until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda, and baking powder until just combined and a soft dough forms. Fold in chocolate and pecans.
Scoop dough in desired cookie size onto lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until firm, about 30-45 minutes, depending on the size of the cookies. Leave room between cookies for some spreading.
Preheat oven to 350°. Bake cookies until golden around the edges but a little soft in the center. Baking time will vary depending on the size of the cookies. Smaller cookies (2-inch diameter) bake for 13-15 minutes. Larger cookies may require up to 18 minutes.
Cool on baking sheets on wire racks for a few minutes. Then, transfer from baking sheets to wire racks to cool completely.
Makes about 48 2-inch cookies.

These cookies are supper yummy, you should definitely give them a try!!

Thanks for stopping by today,  up next is Janet's Blog

Just in case you get lost along the way, here is the complete blog hop lineup.
