Lucky Duck

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends,
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Today I wanted to share with all of you another card I made for St. Patty's Day and some really fun challenges going on in blogland. I knew right from the start that I wanted to use the sentiment "Lucky Duck" for my card.  That was really my inspiration for making this card. I then started thinking about what cartridges have a duck image.  I came across the Mikey & Friends Cart and I thought this would be perfect!! I just love Disney images and I really LOVE Daisy Duck!!  So that is really how my card came together. I knew that I was going to give this card to my boyfriend so I tried to restrain myself from making it "too girly."  I really loved the way this card turned out.  Not too girly but she still needed to have a little glitter :0) Here are the details for my card.

Cartridges Used
Elegant Edges: (Card base-shadow cut @ 4.40" welded w/Gypsy),(Card Mat @ 4.25"), (Sentiment Base w/shadow @ 1.60")

Get Well with Chicken Soup

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends,
Hope you are all having a fabulous week so far.  Today I would like to share with you all a card I made about 2 weeks ago but had not had a chance to post it. I made this card for my boyfriend who at the time had a terrible flu which turned into bronchitis.  Although he still has a bit of a cough, he is feeling much better and on the road to recovery!  Luckily, I did not get sick as it really makes my asthma so much worse and really complicates things for me.  Anyhow, I wanted to make him a card to cheer him up a bit.  Since we were having soooo much chicken soup at the time, I thought it might be cute to try and make a card with a bowl of chicken soup.  So this is what I came up with, hope you all like it :0)

Cartridges Used
Elegant Edges (Mat w/shadow @ 4.20”) and (Steam @ 6.70; hid the outer shape w/Gypsy)
From my Kitchen (Bowl w/spoon @3.75”)
Paper Dolls for Everyday (Chicken @ 3.60”)
Create a Critter (Noodles @ 2.50”; then cut them in half w/scissor)

Other Items Used
Solid Cardstock: Bazzill Basics “Classic Red” for card base; for the rest I used my scraps which included a gold vellum paper that I used for the broth.
Patterned Paper: My Scraps
Xyron Machine
Deco Art: Diamond Dust
Sentiment: TPC Studio “Everyday Greetings”
American Crafts Pigment Ink: “Brown”
TH Distress Ink: “Tea Dye”
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Dots
Prismacolor Pencils (Used on the little chicken)
Gamasol (Used to blend my colored pencils)
Red Buttons: Michael’s Dollar Section

Well, I hope you enjoyed my card and I will be back soon with another card I made for a few fun challenges going on out there in blogland :0)
